31 Weeks

How Far Along: 31 Weeks, 5 days

Size of Baby: My app says 4 Navel Oranges or 3.3 pounds
At our ultrasound, he was 3.4 pounds

Weight Gain: +21

Maternity Clothes: Still mixing, mostly maternity
I wore these red pants today rubberbanded, and they no longer zip at all.

Gender: Boy...Cade Alan

Movement: Yes, he has actually been calmer lately. I don't know if he is as tired as I am or just running out of room to move around too much, but he is noticeably calmer lately.

Sleep: Still random. I am exhausted all the time though.

What I Miss: Nothing

Cravings: Still just about anything sweet

Best Moment This Week: Seeing him in 4d! We had our ultrasound Monday, and he didn't want to cooperate. He always tries to hide his face from us, but we finally poked and rolled me around until he moved his foot...for a second. It was also fun because my mom went with us! This was the 1st appointment she has gone to so she got to meet my doctor and see Cade moving in real time, not just the DVD.

Here is his 4d picture:
Chubby Cheeks
He looks identical to me as a baby. Brian likes to think he looks like him, but we found pictures that proved that theory wrong.

Also this weekend we went to Catherine's to pick up some things that she had of Luke's to give us. Since it took us 3 tries to fit it in my car, I am thinking we are pretty set on what we need:

And after I started going through it, I sent my mom this picture to show her what all was in there...

Then discovered 2 more bags of stuff. Haha. Our sweet boy will never go naked!

And that is just the clothes. We also got a Rock-n-Play, Pack-n-Play, Swing, and changing table among other small things. On top of what we have already been given. We have definitely been blessed with lots of hand-me-downs due to lots of babies in our families! AND blessed with tons of gifts from family already!

8 weeks and 2 days to go! I'm so ready to squeeze those chubby cheeks!!

30 Weeks

How Far Along: 30 Weeks

Size of Baby: Large Cabbage or 2.75 pounds

Weight Gain: +20 I'm packing on the lbs this trimester. Starting to get a little concerned.

Maternity Clothes: Still mixing, mostly maternity. Nothing in this picture is maternity.

Gender: Boy...Cade Alan

Movement: Yes! I'm already getting sad over not feeling him once he is here. Ive gotten so used to feeling him all day and I love it. On another note, this week I felt my first painful movements. Sharp jabby elbows! Ouch.

Sleep: Totally random. Some nights are wonderful, others I'm up all night wide awake then exhausted the next day.

What I Miss: Nothing

Cravings: Those orange little Debbie cupcakes. I have somehow fought the urge to go buy some and demolish them but man have they been on my mind. I'm still trying not to buy any. As soon as I give in, they will become like the Oreos and I won't be able to stop eating them.

Best Moment This Week: Registering. Just looking at all the baby stuff that will soon feel our home was fun.

I am starting to get sad that I only have 9 weeks left of being pregnant, but I am so excited that he will be here in just 9 weeks! I can't wait to meet him and finally see what he looks like. Which we get a sneak peak of at our 4d ultrasound on Monday! I am so ready to see him one last time before he makes his grand entrance into this crazy government shutdown world of ours.

Registry

Just to remember...last night we started registering! We started at Target then finished up at Wal-Mart. We are pretty clueless as to what we really need so I went online for a list and we kinda followed it. But now I keep thinking of more things to add so we will be back soon to add to the list! It was so fun to look at all the baby stuff and think of it taking over our house. It was also fun trying to figure out what some stuff was and listening to Brian's reasoning. I had to take the gun away from him at Target after he registered for some toddler socks and bibs that he thought were for babies. Luckily, I was able to take those off. Exactly 2 months and 1 week from today until my due date! :)

29 Weeks

How Far Along: 29 Weeks

Size of Baby: Butternut squash or 2.5 pounds

Weight Gain: +17

Maternity Clothes: Still mixing, mostly maternity

Gender: Boy...Cade Alan

Movement: Yes! And I still love it! I think I felt my first hiccups this week but only about 4 of them then they went away. Patiently waiting to feel them again. So sweet!

Sleep: Back to good. I'm exhausted all the time.

What I Miss: Not a thing

Cravings: Nothing new.

Best Moment This Week: Hearing his heartbeat at the doctor and scheduling our final ultrasound. I can't believe that will be the last time we get to see him before he is actually here. I just already love him so much.

28 Weeks

How Far Along: 28 weeks, 7 days. I've been a major slacker.

Size of Baby: Chinese cabbage or 2.25 pounds

Weight Gain: +17...yea I gained 6 pounds in 1 week. I'm a little concerned about how the rest of this trimester will go at this rate.

Maternity Clothes: Still mixing, mostly maternity

Gender: Boy

Movement: Yes! And I still love it!

Sleep: I've started doing what I did in the first trimester again and waking up around 2-3ish every night like I am ready to go then come morning time I am exhausted.

What I Miss: Nothing, maybe good sleep and no back pain.

Cravings: Nothing new. I decided after I weighed in today that I am going to lay off the oreos and other sweets for a while...we will see how that goes.

Best Moment This Week: Just feeling the baby moving and realizing how much he is growing. I love to watch my belly move as he rolls around and kicks. I am trying to enjoy these last 2 months before my life is consumed by all things baby...although it really already is. Nothing but baby has consumed my thoughts since the day we found out I was pregnant.

And on a slightly negative note, this first week of my third trimester has kinda kicked my butt. I've bragged a few times that my pregnancy has been really easy thus far. I knew the hard part was coming but it all bit over night. The swollen feet/ankles mixed with sudden lack of sleep for no apparent reason on top of my sudden growth spurt and newfound backpain have me eating my words a little. Luckily I am still not to an uncomfortable point but am awaret that that too is yet to come. Now that I have complained, I will say I still feel so lucky to be able to experience all of this as I am aware some people never do. And I wouldn't trade anything in the world for that feeling I still get every time I feel him move. :)

Weekend Recap

I rarely post about anything besides pregnancy updates, but I thought I would do a weekend recap because we are quickly running out of weekends with just the 2 of us, and I'm sure as soon as the baby is here we will be wondering what we did before.

So, Friday was Homecoming at school. After a crazy week (and the parade), I came home to find Brian napping then we got ready and his mom came over. We took her to Red Lobster for her birthday. I did something I never do and finished my whole plate...plus the salad and about 5 biscuits. That could be why I have gained 5 pounds in the matter of 2 days...yes I somehow managed that.

After we ate, we came back home to drop her off at her car then Brian and I headed back to Fort Smith. We met some of his friends at a place called Brannons to watch Terri and the Executives play. It was a fun night. By the time we got home, I was pretty exhausted and went straight to bed.

Saturday morning, we got up and had coffee and cinnamon rolls while we watched COLLEGE GAME DAY then headed to Booneville for Anson's soccer game. After the game, I dropped Brian off at his mom's while my mom and I did some baby shopping at 2nd Street Market. We came home later and did all of our grocery shopping for the week then snacked on junk food while we watched the HOGS play A&M a much better game than we had expected. We always went to this game when they played in Dallas and were supposed to go this week, but backed out last week after we got beat by the Rutgers. That may sound bad, but Brian gets so mad when we lose that he probably shouldn't be in public. :) And luckily, it ended up raining so we were glad that we decided to watch it from the comfort of our home. Plus, I had my 1st truly uncomfortable day that day. I don't know if the baby was in a weird position or what, but I was unusually uncomfortable.
After the game, we watched the movie "42" that we had picked up at the RedBox earlier. And surprisingly, I made it through the whole thing without falling asleep. :)

Sunday morning, we got up and had our usual biscuits, gravy, and coffee on the couch while Brian watched Fantasy Football stuff. As much as I love college football, I know nothing about the NFL nor do I care to know about it. The rest of the day was spent cleaning, catching up on laundry, and ironing clothes for the week. Just for the record, our weekly laundry consists of 4 loads every Sunday right now. I am curious to see how that will change.

We then went out for a Sunday drive which we do most Sundays. We like to drive down what country roads we have found here, and today we also drove by the babysitter's house hoping to catch a glimpse of her outside. We were unsuccessful. Now we are home waiting for the series finale of Breaking Bad. Most of our excitement currently revolves around food and TV.

For the most part, this is what a typical weekend currently looks like for us. I am very curious to see how different that will be soon. We only have approximately 11 weekends left before Cade is here with us...depending on when he chooses to make his arrival! :) I cannot wait to see how our lives are different once he is here.

27 Weeks

How Far Along: 27 weeks

Size of Baby: Head of Cauliflower or 2 pounds

Weight Gain: +11...I said 13 last week but it is actually 11 and hasn't changed this week. I had a slight case of pregnancy brain when I said 13.

Maternity Clothes: Still mixing, mostly maternity

Gender: Boy

Movement: Yes! And I still love it! I'm dying to feel my first set of hiccups.

Sleep: I had 2 rough nights this week, but mostly good.

What I Miss: Nothing

Cravings: MINT OREOS with ice cold milk. I have finally laid off the ice cream a little. New this week: Ice, Grapes, and cheese. At least those are all healthier than my ice cream/OREO binges.

Best Moment This Week: I have several:
-Finishing up my 2nd trimester! I can't believe that I am now in the 3rd. I think about the baby being here all the time and can't wait. We are in the home stretch! :)
-Getting more gifts from Vicki and my mom and Britney. I will have to post what all we have soon! Our collection is growing.
-Getting the crib! It isn't put together yet because they sent us 2 of the same sides, but it is here!
-Eating Red Lobster with Brian and his mom for her birthday! I didn't realize how much I was wanting some crab legs and cheddar biscuits until I had them.
-And just spending time with Brian. From lazy nights on the couch to little dates, I am enjoying it all. It is really starting to hit me that it won't just be the 2 of us any more very soon. And that these little things that we are so used to will become a rare treat.
