Maternity Pants

So last night I put on my first pair of maternity pants. Not that I need them yet, but we were driving to County Line for a game and something about sitting in a car for 40 minutes each way plus sitting through an hour long game in pants that are barely buttoning these days didn't seem appealing. AND I must say I AM IN LOVE! Seriously, why aren't all pants made with an elastic waistband?? That is something I could most certainly get used to. I put on regular pants today, but before we left the house I found myself digging through the dirty clothes to pull out those maternity pants. Shame. I'm not sure I will ever go back to regular pants. Even after the baby is here. Ok, I guess eventually I will have to, but for now no way.

I haven't bought any maternity clothes yet (these were given to me right after I found out I was pregnant by a girl from work), but today I had Brian run me to a resale shop while we were in Fort Smith where I bought 2 more pairs of pants. What's with the jeans though?? All the denim looks insanely not like denim. Maybe that is just what was left in the resale store. But so far, I now have khakis (the ones I have lived in for 2 days now) that can be pants or rolled up into capris, black pants, and grey pants. The girl who gave me these also gave me a few other pairs, but she is so tiny I could barely squeeze into them the day she gave them to me...9 weeks ago. I'm afraid to try now.

On that note, we are going to Texas soon for our anniversary, and Brian is taking me on a maternity shopping spree while there. This was completely his idea, but I could not be more excited!! I am trying to hold off on buying anything until then.

Speaking of buying things, week 1 of the ENVELOPE MONEY SYSTEM was a major success. More so than I had planned on it being. We are cheating when we go to Texas since that will be our only vacation for the year, and putting everything on our credit card that we usually use for everything. I have been a little sad over not using the credit card anymore because it was excellent for Rewards Points. We've had it just over a year and have gotten so many free things out of the Rewards Points. In fact, that is how we paid for our hotel in Texas. We are trying to figure out ways to still earn points even though we are working mostly with cash right now.

Wow, what started off as something short quickly turned into a long, rambly, pictureless post. And while I am rambling we went to a place today that I want to remember for future reference...It is in the old K-Mart and is called Brick (something or another), but they had some amazing things from home decoration stuff to clothes to baby stuff! I was in love. It is all booths and may become my new addiction. Somehow we managed to get out of there without buying anything today, but I will definitely be going back once we find out what we are having. I still suspect girl and if so I am super excited because they had TONS of cute baby girl stuff!
